The Haüs Windham started with a simple idea: a mountain getaway shouldn’t force you to choose between design and comfort.
Built on a 22-acre private estate in Windham, New York — backed by 80 acres of protected nature preserve — we created a boutique hotel that feels more like a friend’s beautifully designed cabin than a traditional hotel room. Every suite is individually designed with a Scandinavian-modern aesthetic: clean lines, warm materials, and thoughtful touches like heated tile floors and Parachute® bedding. Most rooms open to their own private hot tub with mountain views.
There’s no front desk rush, no crowded hallway, no generic lobby. Just keyless entry, your suite, and the mountains.
The Property
Our estate sits at 218 NY-296 in Windham, on 22 acres of private land that backs up to 80 acres of nature preserve. Guests have direct access to trails and unobstructed mountain views, the kind of setting where the only sounds are wind through the trees and the occasional hawk overhead.
We’re 3 minutes by car from Windham Mountain’s ski lifts, walking distance to the Windham Path trail, and a short drive from Windham Country Club’s 18-hole course.
